Jesus, please take the wheel!

Have you ever been stunned by what was happening in your life & thought “What the heck! What now?” Some things just knock you to your knees & all that you can do is pray. You know God is on the verge of doing something as you’ve been here before. So you relinquish control & whisper, “Jesus, (please) take the wheel (again)!”

Over the years our lives have been turned upside down countless times. Every single time the Lord was working behind the scenes. Romans 8:28 states “And we know (with great confidence) that God (who is deeply concerned about us) causes all things to work together (as a plan) for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan & purpose.” We had to trust that His plan/His way was better than ours. Just like Isaiah 55:9 says, “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways. And My thoughts are higher than your thoughts.”

Over a month ago, we were told we had to move out of the house we’d been renting. If you know how crazy the market has been, not the most ideal time to have to buy or rent a home. But we knew God was on the move & we were about to be, too. We began to search His Word for direction & guidance. Psalm 37:23 says “The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.” Deuteronomy 32:12, “The Lord alone guided them.” Galatians 5:16, “So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives.” And guide us He did.

After continually praying & waiting for answers-“But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day & night.” Psalm 1:2. He led to us to a home in an area we never thought we’d live-totally outside of our comfort zone (45 minutes to be exact from our home now). ✨I have to tell you funny story about how we ended up here. My husband tells my son & I that he’s taking us to a farther area to see these brand new homes. As we are driving (let’s call it Timbuktu for now), we are murmuring to ourselves this is cow town. I was dead set against living here. No way, no how! Until I sought His Will & in His Word..here’s what He told me. Deuteronomy 26:9, “He brought us to this place & gave us this land flowing with milk & honey!” I kid you not over & over I read different verses about the land promised to the Israelites which would flow with milk & honey. Cow town? Bees? Yep this is exactly where God wanted us to be.✨ “Stay on the path that the Lord your God has commanded you to follow. Then you will live long & prosperous lives in the land you are about to enter & occupy.” Deuteronomy 5:33

Friend, I share my story to give you HOPE! Hope in that no matter where God is leading you, it is going to be better than what you thought it’d be. He is faithful in All things-big or small! Whether you lost your job, got a new job out of your comfort zone or have to move like us….Father knows best!!! “God will make this happen, for he who calls you is faithful.” 🙌🏻1 Thessalonians 5:24. We felt called to leave our beloved city & we trust He will do something amazing! So friend whatever life changing event you may be experiencing, God has a plan! Better than yours I guarantee!! He is ultimately in control of it all. So let Jesus take the wheel & steer it in the right direction! ❤️
